Non-profit association in Simmerath
Every child belongs here.
Hongik Ingan brings people together. Children and young people, especially from refugee families, find like-minded people and spaces with us where they can grow safely and feel part of a community.

Why Hongik Ingan?
홍익인간(弘益人間) – “To live and act for the benefit of all people.”
Samguk Yusa (삼국유사, “Memorabilia of the Three Kingdoms”)
“Hongik Ingan” is an integrated initiative that opens up Korean culture, philosophy and history through community engagement and programmes for social participation and personal development.
The idea is one of the oldest and most fundamental of Korean civilisation. It shapes our approach to integration and community development through cultural initiatives.
What we do
We create places where people find connection.
Experience community
Shared activities and encounters bring children, young people and families together, no matter where they come from.
Discover culture and music
Music, workshops and cultural events open the view onto Korean culture and onto the cultures people bring with them.
Where needed, we help in practical ways
When means are lacking, we cover fees, course costs, equipment or travel, so that no one has to be left out.
